January Snow.

Christmas went down well, as did the CD album themed fancy dress NYE party I went to. Doesn’t really feel like a new year, and I don’t do new years resolutions, sure it’ll be a good year though. Will got me a new camera for Chritstmas, a Canon IXUS 85 IS, dead good :) and some DVDs and make up! So this years photo taking should improve -my Fujifilm finepix F410 has pretty much had it.

Anyway, reason I wrote this post is because it’s snowing!! :D It was forcast for Tuesday here in Manchester but it’s come early and made my lazy Sunday, which so far had consisted of a chicken burger and chips and 3 series of Jonathan Creek.

Nano.

After my recent trauma and distress of having my car broken into and my precious retro ‘First Generation iPod Mini’ stolen, my mother insisted tonight whilst we were in Currys that mein Papa was to buy me a new one :D

I felt it was too much, so declined (plus my dad didn’t seem too keen seeing as he’s just given me my living spends for the next couple of months today). We then went to PC World, where there was yet more iPods :P Inevitabley I ended up getting one. Which leads to a mildly interesting/humourous story. Above the iPods there was a poster ‘Free £15 iTunes voucher when you buy an 8gb iPod Nano + Car Charger’ awesome I thought -the iPod comes with a car charger, and I get a free voucher when I buy the 8gb one :)

Got to the till, and I got the Aqua Nano (the last aqua one in stock :P ) but I didn’t get my voucher, so I asked her and she said, where does it say that, so I told her and she went to look at the poster, came back, then proceeded to give me my voucher. When I got to the car, I opened the box (which was teeny weeny -I was impressed!) and there was no charger, so thinking back, the poster meant if you buy an 8gb iPod Nano, and a car charger (at an addition price) you get a free voucher. So I definitely got a good deal with that one! Going to sell my voucher to Will or something, seeing as I don’t really need it.

Now having got my iPod (Roodles 2) back home, I lav it! It’s like nearrrly as good as my old one. It’s weird though, like when I turned it on it’s a COLOUR screen! :o I’m not used to all this technology!
Charging it up atm, and then I’m going to sync it up with my full iTunes when I go back to uni (only have a limited selection on my MacBook)

So yeah, all in all ‘yay for Apple’ :)

I <3 Mac.

A couple of days ago my ace, generous father, gave me a cheque for a lota dollar (one thousand pound). This he told me was to get myself started at uni, and for me to buy a laptop if I so wished. Of course, I did wish. I wished for a brand new, shiny white MacBook…And that’s what I got!

Considering the cheque hadn’t cleared yet, I fortunately, had opened a student account with Natwest just yesterday, which gave me over a grand overdraft to play with. So my first withdrawal from Natwest was 800 pound to buy me a MacBook.

I picked Will up as usual from Preston, and we drove to Manchester, conveniently Trafford Centre is on the way home, and even more conveniently the Trafford Centre has an Apple Store!

I got myself the mid range MacBook, 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB Memory (will soon upgrade to 2GB), 120 GB Hard drive, DVD writer, built in web cam, etc. Along with a bluetooth, wireless mighty mouse, 2 years warranty, and a case for it. Luckily, being a student has its perks, and I got over 100 pound off my MacBook, 150 quid off my warranty, and like a tenner or something off my mouse. Yay for student discount!

Another one, converted to Mac!
