Today I had a look at Alex Mcculloch’s facebook, everyone’s been posting after his tragic death, but one particularly made me think, well, made me cry. It’s heart breaking.

Dave Mcculloch:

Its my birthday again mate

Who’s going to buy me that vintage port
Who’s going to buy me that teenagers shirt
Who’s going to hold me with those big hands
Who’s going to tell me i am a daft old man

Love and miss you mate

Paul.

I’ve written this about Paul Shelley’s death, I can’t bare the effects his death has had on people, but I can remember every laugh his life brought. Rest in peace Paul, even though you will probably be causing a stir up there.

how dangerous our lives can be
taken away from us so greedily
one minute there
and next minute…gone

another phone call
what’s he done now?
death on your lips…
and I listen

am I asleep again
because I’m feeling it
again
it’s too much to read
and it’s not enough to say
and it’s too much of a waste
to hear about today

it’s so simple to say it
it’s too hard to comprehend it
no words penetrate enough
and no thoughts seep through this shock

irreversible.
yet avoidable.

I offer my laugh to your laugh Paul…
and I offer your smile to the world.

H to the B.

Happy Birthday Will!
I love you x

Doritos.

I was in Sainsbury’s the other day, doing a quick shop for tea, mainly bread cheese and beans :P Rambled over to the crisp aisle, to get some monster munch, when I saw, and more accurately heard, a very common, fat, middle aged woman shout:

“We need doritos! We need doritos apparently”

To which her younger, saner counterpart replied:

“Here they are, Doritos”

Fatty: “Oh AYE, that’s them, is it?”

Carer: “yeah”

Fatty: “Well, what they got in ‘em”

In my head I was thinking, Cool Original, Tangy Cheese, and Chilli Heatwave.

Carer: “Potatoes, vegetable fat, and flavouring” she replied.

Fatty: “Oh yeah, aye, they sound tasty! Get some of them”

I was like wtf, that’s what like all crisps are made of you minger. lol. I giggled all the way to the bread aisle.

Freshers.

Omg. Awesome time. But I am so shattered.

Worked at Domino’s possibly non stop, and now I’m really ill :(

First Monday night of freshers week, the Domino’s crew were outside the Academy giving out vouchers and free pizza, loads of fun. I worked from 9am till about 9pm, then went out on the piss to the Ritz (Amazing night) got in around half 3, was in bed for 4. Woke up at 6am feeling rough as, couldn’t get back to sleep, and had to get up at 8 to get ready for work at 9. Managed it. Ended up working 9am till 1am (Sneaky pieces of free pizza were a great hangover cure). Wednesday worked all day, we were at the MMU freshers fair, we had a stall and stuff, I generally shouted my ass off that we had free pizza and vouchers :P Was supposed to go out to Pop Bubble Rock that night, but I was so tired, and there began the runny nose. Thursday, I was feeling knackered, at the freshers fair again (I got soo much free stuff) I carried on trooping. Shouting and giving out free pizza, even managed to bribe the other stalls for use of their megaphones with free pizza. Friday I felt like shite; Salford ‘Trade Fair’, crappest, quietest fair ever :P Didn’t help that our manager had to go home because of a family emergency which put a downer on the day. I couldn’t even shout as my throat was so sore, and I had a hefty cough, I wanted bed. We left early, but then it was to the shop again for a ridiculously busy night :( Now two managers down, I was told I’d have to work Saturday and Sunday too.
Went in yesterday, but after about two hours, I felt like I was going to throw up. My parents were also not happy about how much they’d made me work. I ended up coming home to see the Fudge, and my family as Peter came home from Sweden that weekend. I also wanted parental hugs :D because I felt so crappy.

Today I’m still feeling ill, but as of today I’m only working two nights a week at Domino’s, I also start lectures this week, yay…

Uni Round Two.

Got my results today from my resits, annnnnd…..

I Passed :D

I can go into my second year of university, whoo!

Domino’s.

I’ve gone and done it again, yeah, I’ve got a job at Domino’s Pizza. I always feel like I should be embarrassed when I tell people that…

Anyway, a new store opened in Manchester City Centre off Oxford Road, like, same road that Footage is on. It became the store that Will has to order from, to be delivered to Salford. Found out about it through the leafleting at Spectrum (Will’s apartment block) that the store had opened, so we decided to order. I was on the phone ordering in the precise way I always do (knowing how to give the perfect order for the CSR) :P and the girl on the phone, was all “wow you’re an easy customer”, so I replied with “oh I used to work at Domino’s so I know the score” kinda thing. Claire (on the phone) then asked me if I wanted a job because they’re ridiculously understaffed, I said yes :) We then went on to discuss how good the Polish are that work at Domino’s, and the Hungarians, and how irritating the customers can be.

Just had an interview with Steve the manager (Claire’s other half) who is so nice. It was very laid back, but that’s the general Domino’s etiquette tbh. So I’m set up for a job (for at uni too) I start on Monday :)

Spain-o

Ha, recently went on me hols! To Espana, Altea, Costa Blanca ect, with my HB, Will.

I had a mega time, Will’s nana was getting Married :) Gorgeous wedding, but it was so, so hot. Topped around 47 degrees :O We stayed in Will’s mum’s partner’s apartment, which has massive balcony, with a bed on it. Unfortunately though, when I was making the bed on the first night, there was a massive spider on it, so I decided it was a big no on the sleeping outside front.

We visited a nature park while we were there, and a bastard stag ate my skirt! Well I was taking a photo of him, and he decided my sarong looked tasty, then some dick’ed Scottish woman thought I was panicing (which I wasn’t…I was mainly just like, whatchu doing Mr. Deer?) and she ripped my sarong from it’s mouth. Well I wasn’t too pleased, but it’s a funneh story.

Wish I was still there. I want to go on holiday again :(

Blackfriars.

Will moved house last weekend, well more…moved shit house into sexy new apartment :D

I helped him of course, running back and forth in my lickle Francis. We bagged a visitor spot in the secure carpark to move Will’s stuff in with a bit more ease, and we somewhat settled Will into his flat with some essentials, before going for a quick tesco shop. Which turned out to be a very quick tesco shop, somewhat resembling a mad dash on Supermarket Sweep, as Bob, Nicky and Rosie had arrived at Will’s flat (bringing with them some M & S goodness) and we weren’t there! We managed to get back not too long after (although getting lost on the way) and then when packing away our shopping after the grand tour we realised we’d picked up Fanta Zero instead of fanta and Peartizer instead of Appletizer. To say the least, Will was not impressed and we have sworn to never do a quick shop quite like it again. We had a lovely night with not just ordinary nibbles and sandwiches but M & S nibbles and sandwiches, and Will was a brilliant host.

The bed was suitably comfy and we had a nice lie in on the Sunday. My parents rang and said they were going to be in Manchester at the wholesalers and wondered if we wanted to meet for lunch. So Will took the opportunity to use the big Volvo to move his 46 inch Sony Bravia, which we struggled to pack/get down his two flights of windy stairs :P luckily we had no trouble getting it into Will’s new place. However, I did have trouble with certain parking wardens who gave me a ticket for parking in the secure carpark over night when we were told we could. £85 they were fining me, which I was having none of. I finally managed to ring up the head office after been given the wrong number, and told to ‘come back tomorrow’ and then told to ‘ring up tomorrow’; and cancel the ticket.

So back to Sunday, we had a cuppa at Will’s then went to Pizza express for a late lunch, which was absolutely lovely. My mum and dad left soon after, as Millie had been left on her own, and she has recently had a big operation to fix a torn ligament in her knee. Will and I picked up a few more things from his old room and Ross joined us on the way back to Will’s, ready for some 46 inch new top gear action -which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Monday was spent doing Will’s washing, and trying to sort out my uni flat. Then we sorted out more of Will’s old room in the evening. We got back to his new flat quite late and as I unpacked the car I found that the Fanta Zero that had been mincing about in my boot after being rejected, had decided to pierce itself on some kind of sharp object and leak all over my boot and back seat! Managed to mop it up, but my car now smells slightly Fanta-y. We ended up chilling out watching some Sky, and some Doctor Who :)

Today I got my exam results, and I passed! Suprisingly. Well I have to re-do/do two pieces of coursework which shouldn’t be too hard, but other than that good. Emma got a first! Clever feckin smeghead. Ha well impressed though.

Going to Will’s this weekend again, he’s out tonight and has drunkenly made plans for the weekend, which involve getting drunk :D so I’m not too fussed. Emma starts work at the Student Union on Saturday so I’m gonna go down for some Rock Kitchen action and get served first :P Hopefully I’m going to get a job at the union at some point for September, which would be good. I’m proper skint.

I’ve started to re-learn guitar, brought on by playing a lot of guitar hero 3 which somewhat increased my guitar playing ego :P I’ve remastered From Autumn To Ashes - Short Stories, and learnt Wonderwall for cliche purposes only. I need to get back into my drumming more though. I am yet to be famous *hmph*

Gone

Stipped from us,
any underlying cause?
or a misunderstanding?
Tears at the table
and eyes hold shock
and devestation for the others
who can not even begin to imagine
how much they have lost.

Tomorrow holds so much
for no one…

A game?
A vicious lie?
As cautious as any thing
but nothing can stop
anyone
and no one can stop
anything

It’s sad to see
such distance
and to have no faith in this
is to be alone,
is to rot,
and to be dead
with no mention of why.

There’s no mention of why
or what?
an underlying cause?
or a misunderstanding?
A cry.
A note to self.
Accidents happen
and accidents don’t.
