Had an absolutely fantastic time in New York with the family! Cracking atmosphere everywhere! NYC cabs and police -so cliche. It rained a few days we were there, but it was amazingly clear when we went up the Empire State Building, my God it was cold up there though.
We cruised all the usual shops -Bloomingdales, Tiffany’s, and Macy’s etc. I bought the most gorgeous Diesel dress that had 75% off! We saw a show in Times Square and visited the Guggenheim, which were both really good.
Ice skating in Central Park was magical with all the sky scrapers lit up next to us, and a guy proposed to his girlfriend on the ice infront of everyone! So romantic! Went to a great italian restaurant after skating, they had wicked measures of JD in there, and the pizzas were fab.
Food was lovely, especially waffles with maple syrup and strawberries for breakfast! Oh and we ate chinese out of boxes – Friends style!
A trip defo worth taking, especially at Christmas! Although buckle up in those cabs -we had a crash in one of them! Luckily they have shock absorbers but I ended up with a bruise on my knee and Mark had a massive bruise on the side of his face!
Oh and definitely travel with two doctors who have to give medical aid on the plane there, you get business class on the way home, Cherrrrching!
