Seems my social life has hit a bit of a high recently. For two consecutive nights now I’ve been out with friends! Unfortunately there was absense of boyfriend those two nights, which was too much to bare so I’m going to visit him tonight. Which is the reason I’m writing this post -he was in Lincolnshire with a friend and was supposed to be back in Manchester at approx 2 o’clock this afternoon, but they’ve only just set off. So I thought what better way to pass the time than to write a blog about my average kind of life.
About two weeks ago, Will and I decided it had been too long to resist the new Harry Potter film. So planned to go on a ‘date’ to see it. We were going to go to Frankie and Benny’s before hand, then hop across to the Printworks to see the film. Of course I should have known it wouldn’t actually proceed like that. Ross was all alone because Han was on holiday, so we invited him along. Then we were pissing about (well I’m pretty sure it was just those two) until it was too late for us to make F n B. So we just went to the cinema.
The night got somewhat better when we purchased: tickets to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix seated in the *IMAX 3D* cinema, popcorn, and maltesers. Ross and Will had already researched the IMAX naturally and had told me of the wonders of the 8 storey high, 2 bus wide screen -but that still didn’t prepare me. I walked in and actually WOWed.
The film was alright, considering it was based on the weakest book, but the 3D twenty minutes at the end (when we got to wear the well cool glasses) was awesome -especially the duel between Voldemort and Dumbledore. Even though our seat position was a bit close and a bit too much to the right, and Ross and Will kept commenting on Hermione’s breasts, I still managed to enjoy myself.
On the topic of Harry Potter, I recently had a conversation about whose wand you would use to duel if you had the choice. Some people said Serius’s, or Dumbledore’s, but we decided Volemort’s would be the most powerful. It’s long, and it’s black. 
A few days after the HP trip, Will’s friend, Jon visited Manchester, so to celebrate we went to see the Simpsons movie. Was alright really…
As for the past two nights, on Friday, Bell decided to have a ‘small party’ at his house. Fortunately, he had bought me a litre bottle of Jack Daniels on the cheap from France so I was sorted for booze. I provided the snacks -which were the bollocks, everyone commented on them being so good. Oh yeah. There was this guy Lee there but he was lame, so I got drunk and angry because he wouldn’t share his pizza and I made him leave. Anyway I might edit to elaborate some other time.
Last night was Georgia’s 18th birthday party. It was fancy dress. I went as Vinnie Paul the drummer from Pantera. Let’s just say I was the manliest there (if that’s a word?) -there was a lot of cross dressing on the go. :/ Pictures can be found on my facebook until I put them on my Gallery.
So that about fills up my wait, I’m going to Manchester now.
