Potential Roadkill.

I was driving to Lytham for a Mcdonalds tea, and along Blackpool Road, from a far I thought I saw a really big cat (just domestic -no lions here) strolling across the road. I slowed up a bit, to give it a bit of time to get across, but as I got closer I realised it wasn’t a cat, but it was a Peacock! Not just any peacock, it looked like one of the regulars from round South Park, (quite a familiar sight if you take the 11 bus to or from Lytham), it was also one of the slowest moving peacocks I’ve ever come across, I even had time to take a photo of it while I stood stationary in the road.

One the topic of roads and animals, recently I’ve seen far too much roadkill for my liking, including flat headed rabbits, squirrels face up in the middle of the road, and the other day a pigeon flew into a truck in front of me, and cascaded along the side to narrowly miss hitting my window screen. Not to mention the pigeon with it’s guts out in front of my drive way. Not good.
